Xylene Formaldehyde Resin

A high viscosity levelling agent. 

Designed for rubber compounds, paper laminated print circuit board and as a binder for friction material, it is a straight type oligomer provided by m-xylene and formaldehyde.

• Offers stickiness, tackiness, initial adhesion, flexibility, wettability and damping property.
• Prevents warpage and is compatible with alkyd & terpene resins, asphalt, coal tar, liquid NBR and chlorinated rubber, polystyrene, chlorinated PP and PE.
• Compatible with styrenic co-polymers, epoxy & phenolic resin, rosin, PU, vegetable oils, PVC & PVC plasticizers, acrylic polymers, nitro cellulose and benzyl cellulose.

Our range of xylene formaldehyde resins (straight type and modified type) offer electrical resistance and insulation as well as good resistance to heat, water, moisture, corrosion and alkali.

The straight types are oligomers, with molecular structures including oxygen and a meta-xylene skeleton, and with a wide range of reactive molecular skeletons at the termini. The modified types offer xylene resin characteristics that are not found with phenols or other third components alone.
