MegaChem (UK) Ltd was formed in 2001 as a new member of the MegaChem Group. Initially set up as a trading arm both to source European raw materials for the group and to trade group products within the UK and Europe, at the end of the same year we established a distribution business to satisfy immediate interest from end user customers within the UK market.

Since establishing the distribution business, we have grown significantly by supplying speciality chemicals from established Asian and European manufacturers into the PCP (Paints, Coatings and Polymers) market, both within the UK and across Europe. This means that we now have a comprehensive range of raw materials to support manufacturing of Inks, Decorative and Industrial Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Construction, Roadmarking and Powdercoat. Our increasing success across Europe meant that in 2014 we took on our first European based Sales Manager and we will be looking to develop our salesforce across Europe over the coming months and years.

Having seen the success available by focusing on delivering quality products and first class support to a specific market sectors, in 2016 we took the decision to develop into the APC (Advanced Polymers and Composites) market to support Rubber, Plastics, Polyurethane and Composites  manufacturers. Our existing product range had an easy fit with this new market and we have now established a more comprehensive range of raw materials specific to this growing sector.

For the future, we are looking at other sectors across the UK and Europe for development as our team and product base grows. There is only one thing that never changes at MegaChem (UK) Ltd and that is that we are constantly changing. This is the only way to ensure that we improve our relationships with suppliers and customers alike and that we are able to offer unrivalled levels of service in all industries. Our aim is to become the preferred partner to as many manufacturers as possible across all market sectors within the UK and Europe.

We are proud to announce that MegaChem has received a Platinum (Top 1%) rating for Corporate Social Responsibility 2021 by Ecovadis. The award covers 21 criteria’s, across 4 themes of environment, fair labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. We are extremely proud that we have gained this award, congratulations to the MegaChem group.
