In homecare and cleaning application, lactic acid is used as a highly effective descaler with the ability to dissolve and remove mineral deposits such as limescale, calcium and magnesium build-up.

Food grade lactic acid is suitable for use as a food additive E270, to regulate pH controlling the acidity, preserve fruits and vegetables from discolouration, act as a flavours adjuster and reduce the alkalinity and enable optimum pH levels in the brewing process. It also enhances flavour and improves the clarity and stability.Â
