SCS Formulate 2026 takes place on 10 and 11 November at the Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry, and we’re delighted to be making our debut as exhibitors this year. You’ll find us on stand 1032.
If you formulate, develop or source ingredients for personal care, cosmetics, homecare or I&I products, this is one of the most useful events you can put in your diary this autumn.
Here’s what to expect from the show, and why we’d love to see you there.
What is SCS Formulate?
SCS Formulate is organised by the Society for Cosmetic Science. It has grown into the UK’s leading event dedicated to cosmetic science and formulation.
This year’s theme, Beyond the Horizon: The Future of Formulation, brings together over 180 suppliers alongside a full programme of seminars, workshops and live demonstrations.
The audience reflects the breadth of the industry it serves. You’ll find cosmetic scientists, formulators, product development chemists, R&D teams, technical managers, regulatory and compliance professionals, ingredient buyers and procurement teams, brand owners and contract manufacturers, all under one roof for two days. Whoever you need to speak to about your next formulation, there’s a good chance they’ll be there. Registration is free, and it gives you access to every part of the show, whether you’re an SCS member or not.
What’s on at the show?
The exhibition floor will be made up of more than 180 suppliers covering ingredients, actives, technologies and services across personal care, cosmetics, homecare and I&I. But the programme around it is also worth your time.
The Inform seminars cover the regulatory and scientific issues shaping the market right now, with sessions designed to give you something you can use in your business. The Inspire sessions showcase the newest products and services in the personal care and cosmetics space, so if you want a fast, curated view of what’s new, that’s where to start.
The Sensory Workshops are also worth setting time aside for. They give you the opportunity to work with ingredients and formulations directly to assess their texture, appearance and sensory performance for yourself. The Mixing Demonstrations do something similar for processing, with live demos of ingredient blending, formulation techniques and equipment in action.
If homecare or I&I is part of your remit, the HI&I Content Theatre on 11 November includes content covering the household, industrial and institutional side of the market. And the SCS Showcase gives you a look at finished products from British personal care brands and manufacturers, which is a good way to see where the ingredients on the exhibition floor might end up.
Why it’s worth making the trip
Plenty of trade shows cover personal care. Few cover personal care, homecare and I&I with equal weight. Here are six reasons to attend SCS Formulate 2026:
- We’ll be showcasing a wide product portfolio. Pay us a visit on stand 1032 to explore our range of actives, emulsifiers, naturals, organics, proteins and surfactants and discuss how they might fit into your products or formulations with our technical team.
- It covers your whole remit in one place. If you formulate or source for personal care, homecare or I&I, SCS Formulate is one of the few events that gives proper depth to each market segment.
- You can get hands-on with formulations. The Sensory Workshops and Mixing Demos give you a different kind of information from what you’d get from a data sheet, which can shift how you think about your formulations or processing requirements.
- It’s a practical way to keep pace with regulatory and scientific change. The Inform programme covers the issues affecting the market now, which is useful for understanding where things are heading.
- You can assess new suppliers face to face. With 180+ exhibitors on the floor, you can have conversations about technical capability and fit.
- It’s free, and the practical details are sorted for you. Registration costs nothing, Wi-Fi is free throughout, and if you arrive before 10am you’ll get free parking and a complimentary breakfast bap on collecting your badge. All you’re investing is your time.
