Barium Sulfate (Barium Sulphate)– an inorganic compound with the chemical formula BaSO4 – is a high-purity, synthetic additive that is produced in a carefully controlled manufacturing process.
A natural mineral, Barium Sulfate is known to have multiple uses across the many industries:

Bariflor®
Application: Paints and Inks, Adhesives, Sealants
Barium sulphate (Baryte) of high purity for use in systems where a high grade of brightness is not required, but calls for inertia and resistance to acids and atmospheric agents.
Used on its own or in tandem with TiO2 and colour pigments, Barium Sulfate can bring a range of benefits to the formulation of coatings and the production of plastics.

Applications: coatings, paints, polymers, plastics, PVC, polyurethanes, elastomer and rubber industries.
Barium sulphate (Baryte) of high purity with excellent grade of brightness. Its absolute chemical stability makes it an appropriate product for many applications.
Blanc Roc®
Application: Industrial applications
Natural barium sulphate of high purity and extraordinary brightness. The latest generation micronising processes give this product range the properties of Barium Sulphate precipitate, making it an excellent extender in systems requiring unsurpassable inertia and physical and chemical resistance.
High content of BaSO4 is guaranteed by a system of enrichment complying with the strict regulations in force for protection of the environment. Blanc Roc ® family helps optimize the use of pigment due to its high level of whiteness.
BariStone®
Application: Construction
Developed to address the growing demand for high-density concrete for large public projects like piers, bridges or hospital X-ray rooms, BariStone® range has the ability to block UV, Gamma and X-rays. We offer barite concentrate aggregates in different particle size distributions that meet the requirements of the sector and help improve the efficiency of the concrete manufacturing process.
Barinit®
Application: Production of adhesives, putties, sound proofing and friction
It is a Barium Sulphate of good quality, for use in systems where the degree of brightness is not of importance. High specific weight and resistance to acids and atmospheric agents make it a suitable product for many industrial applications.
Incorporating natural barites like Blanc Roc®, BariStar® or BariFlor® ranges to mortar, putties and adhesive formulations show to improve mechanical and chemical resistance, as well as their high specific gravity and low oil absorption. All these features allow the manufacture of products with a high concentration of solids while saving resin and thereby reducing costs.
As in the case of insulators, silicones benefit from barite’s ability to reduce noise when used within the automotive and construction fields in metal frameworks and glass assembly.
