Chlorinated Rubber

Chlorinated Rubber is a white powdery thermoplastic resin that is readily soluble in organic solvents and offers excellent adhesive properties. It readily forms films that are significantly resistant to many chemicals as well as being impermeable to moisture. Its high chlorine content means that it also exhibits very low levels of flammability, making it a very useful resin within a number of areas.

Applications and Uses:

Thanks to its strong adhesive qualities and its resistance to moisture and chemicals, Chlorinated rubber is used in many Adhesives and Sealants as well as in formulations for protective Industrial coatings. Furthermore, its low levels of flammability mean that it also used within flame resistant coatings. Inks requiring adhesion to some more difficult substrates and resistance to chemicals also find a use for Chlorinated Rubber. Other applications include binders in Construction, paper manufacturing and fabrics.
